Canister Close Valve: Service and Repair
WARNING: Fuel is explosive. When working on fuel system pads, make sure to supply adequate ventllation to the work area. Do not smoke,
and keep sparks and open flames away.
REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery.
2. Remove the retaining clips from two hoses connected to the check valve.
3. Disconnect the two hoses from the check valve.
4. Remove one retaining screw that holds the check valve bracket to the frame.
INSTALLATION
1. Install the retaining screw that holds the check valve bracket to the frame.
2. Connect the two fuel hoses to the check valve.
3. Install the two retaining clips to the two hoses connected to the check valve.
4. Connect the negative terminal to the battery.
