EGR Valve: Service and Repair

Valve Replacement

REMOVAL

1. Remove the EGR control valve vacuum hose.
2. Take out the two bolts holding the EGR valve in place.
3. Remove the EGR valve and gaskets.

INSTALLATION

Before installing the EGR control valve, install new gaskets.

1. Replace the gaskets and place the EGR valve in position with the two bolts loosely holding it.
2. Tighten the two retaining bolts holding the EGR valve.

Tighten bolts to 19 lb ft (26 Nm)
