When serviceing the vehicle during normal and severe maintenance schedules be sure to lubricate the universal and slip joints. KMA has examined
several propeller shafts replaced for a universal joint concern and found evidence of lack of lubrication.
The propeller shaft should also be inspected every 15,000 miles or 15 months for propeller shaft universal joint lubrication, run-out, center support
bearing for excessive play and noise.
