1. Check for the following: 

a. Damaged insulation 
b. Worn electrodes 
c. Carbon deposits 
d. Damaged gaskets 
e. Burnt spark insulator 
f.

Plug gap 
Plug gap: 0.039 - 0.043 inch (1.0 - 1.1 mm) 

2. Clean or replace if necessary.

Installation 

1. Apply anti-seize compound to the spark plug threads.
2. Install the spark plugs into the cylinder head and tighten to specification.

Tightening torque: 11 - 17 ft. lbs. (15 - 23 Nm) 

3. Reconnect high tension leads.

4. Install the two coils and secure with four bolts.
5. Install the coil cover and secure with six bolts.
6. Install the accelerator cable bracket.
7. Install air intake assembly.
8. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
