Tires: Service and Repair
TIRE ROTATION
Tires should be rotated every 7,500 miles (12,000 km) using the pattern shown. Periodic rotation of tires will equalize wear among the tires. The
rotation interval may be reduced to 5,000 miles (13,000 km) or less if mileage is mostly city driving. City driving usually involves much turning,
which increases the wear rate of the front tires.
With a full-size spare tire, the rotation pattern includes the spare tire. With a compact spare tire, the spare is not included in the rotation pattern.
WARNING: THE INFLATION PRESSURES MUST BE ADJUSTED AS THE TIRE IS MOVED FROM THE SPARE POSITION TO AN
IN-SERVICE POSITION, AND WHEN MOVED FROM IN-SERVICE POSITION TO THE SPARE POSITION.
OVER-INFLATION OR UNDER-INFLATION CAN REDUCE TIRE LIFE, ADVERSELY AFFECT VEHICLE HANDLING, AND LEAD TO
SUDDEN TIRE FAILURE. THIS COULD RESULT IN LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL.
