Clockspring Assembly

Removal

NOTE:  The clockspring connector is part of the combination switch and is not serviced as a separate part.

1. Remove the steering wheel air bag module. Refer to Steering Wheel Air Bag Module Removal.
2. Remove the steering wheel nut. Mark the steering wheel and steering shaft so that their relative positions will be known during re-installation.
3. Using a suitable wheel puller, remove the steering wheel.
4. Remove the three combination switch retaining screws, disconnect the three connectors and remove the combination switch.

Installation

1. Install the combination switch, connect the three connectors and install the three combination switch retaining screws.
2. Install the steering wheel.
3. Ensure that the position marks on the steering wheel and steering shaft are properly aligned and install the steering wheel nut. Refer to Clockspring

Assembly Alignment.

4. Install the Steering Wheel Air Bag Module. 
5. Connect battery.
