Lifter / Lash Adjuster: Testing and Inspection
1. Check the hydraulic lash adjuster (HLA) face for wear or damage.
2. Hold the HLA between your fingers and press it. If the HLA moves, replace it.
CAUTION: Do not disassemble the HLA.
