Evacuate and recharge the air conditioner system with 1 lb. 9 oz. (1.54 lbs.) of R-134a refrigerant.

Follow system evacuation/charging procedures provided by the refrigerant charging station manufacturer.

Evacuate the A/C system for a minimum of 15 minutes. Amount of time required for evacuation varies depending on amount of time
system was exposed to the atmosphere, climate conditions, etc.
15.
Reconnect and tighten the negative battery cable.
16.
Start the engine, then switch the A/C system ON and verify proper A/C system operation.
* NOTICE
"Reset" the anti-theft system in Sportage models equipped with the Kia logic control audio unit.
