Solder the splice using a high wattage soldering gun.

Wrap soldered splice with electrical tape, reposition split wrap, and re-tape wire harness as required.

Position surge tank to intake manifold and throttle body using new gaskets. Attach rear support bracket to surge tank and front surge tank cylinder
head bracket. Install front and rear wire harness clamps under bolts/nuts (do not tighten yet), and ground eyelet G104 to right rear corner stud of
intake manifold.
NOTE:
On 1997 vehicles, reinstall EGR solenoid and bracket before installing front surge tank support bracket nuts.
24.
Install bolts/nut securing surge tank to intake manifold and tighten to 16 ft-lb.
25.
Tighten front and rear surge tank support bracket bolts/nuts to 16 ft-lb.
26.
Verify that throttle cable (and A/T control cable if equipped) is properly connected/routed and dose not bind or hang up.
