Ignition Cable: Testing and Inspection

Inspection 

1. Remove from the coil and the spark plugs.
2. Check for breaks in insulation.
3. Check inside high-tension lead connectors for corrosion or carbon deposits.

4. Connect high-tension lead to an ohmmeter and check resistance.

Resistance: 16 K ohms per 3.28 feet (1 m) 

5. Replace if defective.
