Loosen three (3) bolts attaching battery hold-down clamp bracket to bottom of battery tray and tuck clamp bracket behind battery tray.

Disconnect injector shroud air and crankcase fresh air intake hoses from air intake pipe. On 1997 vehicles, also remove EGR solenoid vacuum
vent hose from air intake pipe.

4.

Disconnect injector shroud air hose from pipe attached to surge tank.
