Control Arm: Testing and Inspection
Front

Upper Assembly

1. Raise the front of the vehicle and support it with safety stands.
2. Loosen the installation bolts.
3. Inspect for damage, deformation or cracking of the upper arm.
4. Inspect for wearing or deterioration of the upper arm bushing.
5. Remove and replace if damaged, deformed or cracked; replace bushing if worn or deteriorated.

Lower Assembly

1. Raise the front of the vehicle and support it with safety stands.
2. Loosen the lower control arm installation bolts.
3. Inspect for damage, deformation or cracking of the lower arm and ball joint.
4. Inspect for wearing or deterioration of the lower arm bushings.
5. Remove and replace any item damaged, deformed or cracked; remove and replace bushing if worn or deteriorated.
