2. Remove the thrust bearing and thrust bearing race from the planetary gear, then remove the thrust washer and O/D planetary gear assembly.
3. With the O/D drum sub-assembly installed onto the oil pump, apply 30 psi (5.3 kg/cm2) (max) air pressure into the fluid passage in the oil pump
and measure the clutch piston stroke. If it is not within specification, replace the cushion clutch plate or clutch disc.
O/D clutch piston stroke: 0.058 - 0.089 inch (1.47 - 2.28 mm)
NOTICE: Use a low pressure source (30 psi max) only.
4. Remove the outer retaining ring, then remove the O/D brake hub.
5. Remove the outer retaining ring, then remove the clutch disc, retainer plate, and cushion plate.
