Seals and Gaskets: Service and Repair
INSPECTION
1. Inspect the front housing oil seal for damage or wear. Replace if necessary.
NOTICE: Use protective material to avoid damage to the assembly.
2. Clamp the front cover oil seal assembly in a vise and remove the oil seal.
INSTALLATION
Required SST (or equivalent): Seal Installer/Remover (K95B-4102-MT) Universal Driver Handle (K94U-0001-G)
NOTICE: Installing the seal incorrectly can cause the transmission to leak oil.
1. Apply grease to the lip and outer surface of the oil seal.
2. Carefully install the oil seal using the K95B-4102MT seal installer/remover.
