MANUAL RELEASE OF MAGAZINE

NOTE:

The manual release will only work if:

All CD's are back in the magazine as seen through the small window opening on the magazine.

The CD is fully loaded inside the unit.

If there is a CD jammed between the magazine and the internal mechanism, the magazine will not release manually and must be returned to Clarion
for service.

1.

Insert a small paper clip or paper clip sized probe in the small opening located to the left of the DIN cable connector as shown in Figure 1.

2.

Push the paper clip into the small hole until you feel it come to a stop. Then press lightly to engage the release mechanism until the magazine
releases

3.

Remove the magazine from the unit and inspect for damage.

4.

Replace unit if necessary.

CLEANING THE GUIDE ROLLERS

1.

Open the slide door and identify the magazine eject plate located in the center of the opening in the rear (Figure 2).

NOTE:

In order for the guide rollers to turn the changer unit must be connected to the head unit for power supply. Pressing the eject plate will cause
the rollers to turn, one in a clockwise direction and the other in a counter clockwise direction.

2.

Use a pen or plastic probe to press and hold the eject plate.

3.

Dip the end of a cotton swab in the alcohol solution and rub across the rollers while they are turning.
