Remove the seven bolts securing the hub to the axle. (Figure 8)

With assistance, remove the hub assembly.

12.

Discard the gasket.

13.

Remove the six bolts securing the swivel seal retaining plate and remove the swivel plate. (Figure 9)

14.

Remove the swivel seal from the hub assembly. (Figure 10)

15.

Clean the swivel and hub to ensure the surfaces are free from dirt and grease.

16.

Clean the swivel retaining plate mating faces.

17.

Clean the hub and axle flange mating faces.

INSTALL

18.

Ensure seal location is clean and insert a new swivel seal in to the hub.

19.

Install the swivel seal retaining plate, install the bolts and tighten to 11 Nm (8 lbf-ft).

20.

Apply a film of silicone sealant to the axle flange to aid location of the gasket and install a new gasket to the axle mounting face.
