1.
Open the sunroof fully.
2.
Remove the front inner catch cover and discard.
3.
Secure the existing catch body to the underside of the glass using adhesive tape, this will ensure alignment of the new water dam.
4.
Remove the front inner catch securing screws and discard.
5.
Remove the water dam and centre gasket from the outer surface of the glass.
6.
Remove any existing loose adhesive from the glass outer surface.
7.
Clean glass outer surface front area in the region of the dam using Betawipe VP 04604 and dry off using a lint free cloth.
8.
Obtain new dam and fully clean the complete underside of the dam using Betaclean 3900 or white spirit and allow to dry.
9.
Prime the complete underside of the dam using Betaprime 5402 and allow to stand for 10 minutes.
10.
Fit new centre gasket in place on the under side of the dam.
11.
Apply a 3.5 mm bead of Betaseal HV3 (or equivalent) to the centre of the recess on the underside of the dam along the complete length of the
recess.
12.
Fit dam to outer surface of the sunroof glass, fit the two centre fixings and tighten to 2 Nm.
13.
Fit the replacement inner catch cover by locating the front tongues and snap in place.
