SITUATION:

UNEXPLAINED ILLUMINATION OF SPORT OR MANUAL MODE INSTRUMENT LIGHTS

The customer may complain that the "S" or "M" symbols for the transmission are illuminated without having changed the shift mode. Water may enter
the gearbox starter inhibitor switch harness connector via the harness joint causing this symptom.

RESOLUTION:

INSTALL NEW NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH AND HARNESS

When the customer complaint has been verified, investigate the source of the problem and, if indicated by the inspection, replace the harness and switch.
