Parking Brake Warning Switch: Service and Repair
Switch - Handbrake
Service Repair No - 86.65.45
Remove
1. Remove center console.
2. Disconnect Lucar from hand brake warning switch.
3. Remove clip and clevis pin securing cable to hand brake lever.
4. Remove 2 bolts and remove hand brake lever.
5. Remove 2 screws securing switch to hand brake lever and remove switch.
Refit
1. Fit switch to hand brake lever and tighten screws.
2. Position hand brake lever to floor and tighten bolts to 22 Nm (16 ft. lbs..).
3. Align cable to hand brake lever and fit clevis pin and clip.
4. Connect Lucar to hand brake switch.
5. Fit center console.
