Air Suspension Height Sensor Connector Overlay Harness

AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:

Discovery Series II (LT)

Situation:

NEW OVERLAY HARNESS SERVICE KIT FOR HEIGHT SENSOR CONNECTOR

A service repair kit for the electrical connector to the air suspension height sensor is now available. Damage to the height sensor connector or connector
wiring would normally have required replacement of the entire wiring harness. This service repair kit provides a short overlay harness and connector that
may be used to repair connector damage.

RESOLUTION:

REPLACE DAMAGED HARNESS SECTION

Should the air suspension control module contain a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) that is diagnosed as damage to the electrical wiring in the vicinity of
the sensor connector or to the connector itself, refer to the Repair Procedure detailed in this bulletin to replace the sensor connector harness as necessary.

NOTE:  A service repair harness is now available to repair height sensor connectors without replacement of the complete harness.

NOTE:  Black fabric tape is a shop consumable and is not claimable under warranty.

WARRANTY CLAIMS:

DDW requires the use of causal part numbers. Labor only claims must show the causal part number with a quantity of zero.

Normal warranty policy and procedures apply.
Material allowance is included in labor operation.

1. Refer to Global Technical Reference (GTR) section 03, General Information - Electrical Precautions and disconnect the battery ground cable.
