Camshafts - LH Cylinder Head

Service Repair No - 12.13.02

Remove 

1. Disconnect battery earth lead.
2. Remove camshaft timing belt.

3. Position LRT-12-175 to rear camshaft gears as illustrated, remove and discard bolts securing gears to camshafts.
4. If camshaft timing belt is to be refitted, mark direction of rotation on timing belt.
5. Remove rear camshaft gears and drive belt as an assembly.

6. Depress locking collars and release 2 breather hoses from LH camshaft cover.
7. Disconnect 3 ht leads from spark plugs.
8. Release ht leads from guide bracket.
9. Remove special bolt securing ht lead guide bracket to LH camshaft cover and position ht leads aside.

10. Disconnect CMP sensor multiplug and release male multiplug from mounting bracket.
11. Remove bolt securing multiplug bracket which also retains front H02S multiplug, move bracket and multiplug aside.

12. Remove 14 bolts and remove LH camshaft cover and gasket.
