Inlet Camshaft Front Oil Seal

Service Repair No - 12.13.40

Remove 

1. Remove camshaft timing belt.

2. Remove camshaft oil seal using LRT-12-147 and center bolt LRT-12-129.
3. Remove and discard oil seal from LRT-12-147.

Refit 

1. Clean oil seal recess and camshaft.
2. Noting that the new camshaft front oil seal is black in color, ensure that the outer edge of the seal is clean and dry.

3. Ensure oil seal protector sleeve LRT-12-203, is clean. Fit sleeve to camshaft.

CAUTION:  Oil seal is waxed on outer diameter and must not be lubricated before fitting.

4. Position oil seal and using LRT-12-148A, drift seal into position.
5. Remove seal protector, LRT-12-203, from end of camshaft.
6. Fit camshaft timing belt.
