8. Position LRT-12-175 to rear camshaft gears as illustrated, remove and discard bolts securing gears to camshafts.
9. Remove rear camshaft gears, timing belt and special tool as an assembly.

CAUTION:  Do not turn the crankshaft or the camshafts while the timing belt is removed.

10. If camshaft timing belt is to be refitted, mark direction of rotation on timing belt.
11. Remove LRT-12-175from camshaft gears and remove timing belt from gears.

CAUTION:  Although the camshaft timing belt has a service life of 72,000 miles (120,000 km) an existing belt should only be refitted if it has
completed less than 48,000 miles (80,000 km).

CAUTION:  Do not use a timing belt that has been twisted or bent double as the reinforcing fibers may be damaged. Do not use an oil
contaminated belt.

CAUTION:  Timing belts must be stored and handled with care. Always store a belt on its edge with a bend radius greater than 50 mm (2 inches).

Refit 

1. Clean camshaft gears and mating faces on camshafts.

2. Place gears inverted on a flat surface, with the locating lugs on the gears positioned as illustrated.

3. Keeping the timing marks aligned, position timing belt onto gears.
4. Position LRT-12-195 between the gears, turn center nut sufficiently to spread drive belt and position LRT-12-175 to camshaft gears, remove

LRT-12-195 from between camshaft gears.
