Inset the tube into the seal membrane just below the mid door joint and behind the "flap" in the seal to increase the seal contact to the door.

Glue the inserted tube into the seal membrane to retain it in place.

NOTE:

Tailgate seal replacement is not required unless the seal is split, torn or damaged.
