STEERING COLUMN SWITCHGEAR MODIFICATION (ALL FIGURES SHOW LR3; RANGE ROVER SPORT SIMILAR)

1.

Remove ignition key.

2.

Fully extend the steering column for access.

WARNING:

To avoid accidental deployment the back-up power supply must be depleted before beginning any work on the SRS system or its components.
Failure to follow this instruction may result in personal injury.

3.

Disconnect negative and positive battery cables.

4.

Wait two minutes for the SRS power circuit to discharge.

5.

Release the six clips to remove the steering column upper shroud. (Figure 8)

6.

Remove the three Torx screws to remove the steering column lower shroud. (Figure 9)

7.

Insert ignition key and turn to position 1.

NOTE:

The steering wheel will need to be rotated to gain access.

8.

Rotate steering wheel for access as necessary.
