The telephone system allows for the use of different types/manufacturers handsets. This is achieved using a handset specific cradle which is mated to a
standard base plate. The design of the adaptor cradle will vary to accommodate different types of phones.

Telephone Adaptor Base Plate

The base plate is located in the center arm rest. The base plate is connected to the TM via a dedicated serial link.
