Ensure tools and hands are clean to avoid damage / marking of the headliner.
1. Refer to Workshop Manual, section 501-05: Interior Trim and Ornamentation, and release and lower the headliner:

Inspect the headliner for damage. (Figure 1)
CAUTION:
When cutting the headliner, ensure care is taken not to cut any further than required.
2. Starting 5mm from the top edge, slice down / away from the show face of the headliner using a suitable pair of sharp scissors or a scalpel. This will
relieve the tension in the cover material and allow for easier edge wrapping and prevent it from lifting again in the future. (Figure 2)
WARNING:
Wear gloves as the glue is an irritant to the skin and can adhere your skin together.
CAUTION:
Use care to avoid damage / marking of the headliner when applying the superglue.
NOTE:
The glue will not cure until the joint is air tight. Once the joint is made, the glue will cure extremely quickly: 20 seconds to hold; 60 seconds to
totally dry.
