Parking Distance System Intermittent Operation

CONDITION SUMMARY:

INTERMITTENT REAR PARKING AID OPERATION

Situation: 
A customer may report a concern that the Parking Distance Control (PDC) system does not operate every time when reversing.

The PDC system was configured to receive both "vehicle stationary" and "electronic parking brake" (EPB) signals together to activate the system. In
production the system has been changed so that the "vehicle stationary" signal is ignored and EPB "drive away" signal activates the system.

Action: 
If a customer complains of the intermittent condition, refer to the Repair Procedure detailed in this bulletin to replace the parking aid control module
with the latest configuration.
