DOOR HINGE LUBRICATION

Complaints of stiff door operation can usually be traced to insufficient door hinge lubrication. The most effective lubricant is water resistant EP chassis
grease.

Use a hand grease gun, fitted with a small rubber cone adaptor, to force the lubricant into the two small half moon openings on each front hinge and the
small hole on the rear hinges. Move the door back and forth several times and repeat if required. Wipe off excess grease.

Spraying or squirting the hinge with oil is usually not effective since the lubricant cannot easily penetrate the hinge/hinge pin joint.

Please lubricate the hinges during the 15,000 Mile Service and every 15,000 miles thereafter.
