AIR CONDITIONING HIGH PRESSURE HOSE ASSEMBLY
TO: ALL RANGE ROVER DEALERS
The high pressure hose assembly which connects the outlet of the receiver drier to the expansion valve inlet is constructed in two sections. The
connection between the two hoses is made via threaded fittings located next to the right hand inner fender panel and insulated with a length of foam type
hose.
The fittings contain two (2) spring loaded valves which open when the two hoses are connected together and close when they are disconnected. The
valves are used to contain refrigerant in system subassemblies while in shipment and during assembly and Do NOT affect A/C performance.
When diagnosing A/C problems which indicate a lack of flow or a leak, always check this area. If the fittings aren't fully threaded together, flow
blockage will occur due to the valves not being opened fully. Remove the tie wrap and slide the insulation tube up the hose toward the drier for
inspection purposes. When done replace the tie wrap.
CAUTION:
Do NOT discard the valves otherwise the connection will leak since the body of the valves act as a seal in their installed position within the fittings.
