Crankshaft Main Bearing Carrier Leak - Repair Procedure

AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE

CONDITION SUMMARY:

Situation: 

This bulletin is to inform Retailers of a new workshop procedure to re-seal the crankshaft main bearing carrier. Instead of replacing the engine when a
crankshaft main bearing carrier is leaking oil, a procedure is now available to remove, re-seal and re-install the main bearing carrier.

Action: 

Should a customer express this concern, refer to the Repair Procedure detailed in this bulletin to re-seal the crankshaft main bearing carrier using RTV
Sealant (STC50550).
