Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Module - Vehicles With: High Performance Brakes 

Service Repair No - 70.25.12

Removal

CAUTION: Make sure the ignition switch is in position 0.

NOTE: The hydraulic control unit (HCU) mounted to the ABS module cannot be serviced separately. If the HCU requires replacement, then the ABS
module must be replaced as a complete assembly.

1. WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands.

Raise and support the vehicle.

2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
3. Remove the plenum chamber.
4. Remove the engine cover.

Remove the 4 nuts.

Noting fitted position, remove the 4 spacers.

5. Disconnect the electrical connector.

Release the latch.

Move the electrical connector aside.

6. CAUTION: Before disconnecting or removing components, ensure the area around the joint faces and connections are clean. Plug open

connections to prevent contamination.

NOTE: Note the fitted position.

Release the 6 brake fluid lines.

Position an absorbent cloth to collect fluid spillage.
