Harsh 1-2 Transmission Upshift After Lifting off Throttle - Repair Procedure

CONDITION SUMMARY:

Situation: 

An issue has been identified where the transmission may experience a harsh 1-2 upshift after lifting off the throttle, such as in stop-and-go /
bumper-to-bumper traffic.

Action: 

In the event of a customer concern of the above, refer to the Repair Procedure below to reconfigure the Transmission Control Module (TCM) and the
Engine Control Module (ECM).

IDS with latest DVD installed; software first available on IDS DVD118 Patch File 1 Midtronics PSC-550 Vehicle Power Supply

REPAIR PROCEDURE

RECONFIGURE THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE AND TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE

CAUTION:

Ensure all IDS ignition 'on' / ignition 'off' requests are followed to avoid damage to vehicle control modules.

CAUTION:

A Midtronics PSC-550 Vehicle Power Supply must be connected to the vehicle battery during IDS diagnosis / module programming.

1. Connect the Midtronics PSC-550 Vehicle Power Supply to the vehicle battery.
