Range Rover (LM) V8-4398cc 4.4L (M62) (2003)
NOTE:
A contact condition between the two pipes in the area illustrated in Figure 1 is the likely cause of refrigerant loss.
1.
Visually inspect the A/C hose from the compressor to the intermediate pipe for damage.
2.
If hose damage is NOT the cause of the refrigerant loss, further diagnosis will be required to determine the A/C system fault.
NOTE:
GTR lookup sequence is as follows:
GTR Home>NAS>Service Information/LM Range Rover/2004>Workshop Manuals> Range Rover Workshop Manual Service Procedures>
Bookmark "82 Air Conditioning">Link "82.30.02 Refrigerant recovery - recycling and recharge".
3.
If it is determined that hose damage is the cause of the refrigerant loss and subsequent A/C system failure, perform the following:
^
Refer to GTR Workshop Manual Section 82.30.02 and recover any refrigerant remaining in the A/C system.
^
Replace the damaged hose(s).
^
Install the clip between the two A/C hoses.
4.
Refer to GTR Workshop Manual Section 82.30.02 and recharge the A/C system.
5.
Check the A/C system operation.
