Oxygen Sensor Harness Routing

AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:

New Range Rover (LM) (M62 V8 Engine Only)

VIN: 3A101029 to 5A198056

CONDITION SUMMARY:

CORRECT OXYGEN SENSOR HARNESS ROUTING FOR M62 V8 ENGINE

Situation: 
This bulletin applies to the M62 V8 gasoline engine only. This bulletin has been issued to provide service procedures for correctly routing and securing
the RH and LH downstream oxygen sensor wire harnesses. Incorrect harness routing can lead to wire damage (following oxygen sensor replacement or
exhaust system installation).

Action: 
When installing a downstream oxygen sensor on an M62 V8 engine, refer to the appropriate Repair Procedure detailed in this bulletin to correctly route
the wire harness.

No parts required. Information purposes only.

WARRANTY:

Normal warranty policy and procedures apply.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

CORRECTLY ROUTE THE LEFT-HAND DOWNSTREAM OXYGEN SENSOR WIRE HARNESS

NOTE:

The black harness insulation must be positioned against the end of the sensor body.

1.

Place the sensor on a flat surface.

2.

Straighten the sensor harness. (Figure 1)
