Air Suspension Compressor Overheat
AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:
New Range Rover (LM)
3A101029 to 4A155162
SITUATION:
AIR SUSPENSION COMPRESSOR OVERHEAT
The customer may complain that the message "Air Suspension Inactive" appears on the message center, particularly when the EAS has been
"demonstrated" or cycled frequently. Investigation may indicate that fault code 41 "Compressor Temperature Rises when Static" is stored. A contributing
cause may be that the compressor temperature parameters are not set to the latest specification.
RESOLUTION:
UPDATE EAS SOFTWARE
Should a customer express concern regarding the above, one possible cause is the software parameter delivered from production. Follow the procedure
below to install new air suspension ECU software. The software adjusts the compressor temperature parameters. If the EAS fault reoccurs, troubleshoot
to find the root cause for the issue.
