SERVICE ACTION

Air Suspension Pressure Relief Valve

AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:

SITUATION:

REAR SPRING DURABILITY

The customer may complain about an Air Suspension warning light or uneven ride height at the rear of the vehicle. An increase in air suspension system
pressure may contribute to the premature failure of the rear air spring.

RESOLUTION:

INSTALLATION OF PRESSURE RELIEF VALVES

Installation of a pressure relief valve into the main feed line between the compressor and reservoir will provide lower system pressure and improve
durability of the rear air spring components.

Install pressure relief valve in air suspension feed line

Material allowance is included in labor operation.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

INSTALL RELIEF VALVE

1.

Turn the ignition switch to the off position and remove key from the switch.

2.

Open both tailgates.

3.

Release and fold back the parcel shelf.

4.

Release the spare wheel cover from the clips and remove from vehicle.

NOTE:

The air suspension will not be under pressure with the ignition turned off.

CAUTION:

During the disconnection process the original inline connector is to be left in place.
