Oil Leak From Rear of Engine AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:
CONDITION SUMMARY:
Situation:
An oil leak from the rear of the engine may be evident. This leak may be caused by a porosity oil leak from the high pressure gallery on the rear of the
engine block.
Action:
In the event of a customer concern of the above, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below to repair the engine pocket porosity.

1. Refer to Workshop Manual (GTR) section 303-01B / 303-01C, Flexplate (12.53.13), and remove the flexplate.
NOTE:
The use of a locally-sourced dye penetrant may be used to determine the source of the leak.
