Leaking Vacuum Port Cap

AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:

(Up to engine number 56D 29518A)

SITUATION:

ROUGH RUNNING SYMPTOMS AND POSSIBLE MIL ILLUMINATION

The customer may experience rough running and possibly a MIL light illumination. Upon investigation of the MIL light, the P-codes will indicate a lean
mixture.

RESOLUTION:

INSPECT AND REPLACE PLASTIC CAP

The plastic cap covering the intake plenum vacuum port may deteriorate and leak. Inspect to verify that a split cap is the cause of the problem and
replace the cap with the new part.

Inspect for missing or damaged cap and install vacuum new cap
