Install body clip on two-cavity connector (Figure 8).

Assembly

1.

Install new latch as follows:

Transfer linkages from old latch to new latch.

NOTE: 

Take care to ensure that the linkages are oriented in the same way as removed.

Guide latch and linkage into position in door.

^

Connect interior release cable.

^

Secure latch with three screws.

^

Install sill button on linkage.

CAUTION:

To prevent damage to the connectors and wiring, they MUST be oriented as shown in Figure 9.

Connect two modified electrical connectors.

3.

Secure connectors to door using three holes as shown in Figure 9.

4.

Install drivers side exterior door handle as follows:

Install new clip (MTC9290) to door handle.

^

Slip the door handle into the front mounting hole and pivot the rear end inward.

^

Connect key linkage to door handle.

^

Place handle into position on door and slide rearward to align with screw hole and install screw.

5.

Install exterior release linkage.
