If no oil drains from inspection hole, fill transfer box with Dexron III ATF to level of level inspection plug.
6.
Clean filler-level plug and apply Loctite 270 or 272 sealant to the plug threads.
7.
Refit the level plug and tighten to 30 Nm (22 lbf.ft.).

REPAIR 3: Windshield Washer Tube and Check Valve Replacement Procedure
1.
Disconnect the washer tube from the hood-anchored 90-degree connector on the RH side of the vehicle. (See Figure 10)
2.
Squeeze the washer tube clamp located below the non-return valve and slide the clamp down the washer supply tube a couple of inches.
3.
Disconnect the non-return valve and hood connector tube from the main washer supply tube.
4.
Cut 10 mm (1/2 in.) from the end of the washer supply tube to remove the deformed end of the tube.
5.
Release the washer tube retaining clip at the bulkhead using a screwdriver to release the barb that attaches the clip to the "T" stud on the bulkhead.
NOTE:
The new hose configuration eliminates the in-line filter that was part of the original factory fit.
6.
Discard the old non-return valve, filter and washer tube.
7.
Connect the non-return valve end of the new washer tube assembly to the washer supply tube.
8.
Squeeze the washer tube clamp previously repositioned down the supply tube and locate it within 2 mm (1/16 in.) of the end of the tube to secure
the non-return valve in place.
9.
Route the new washer tube behind the expansion tank reservoir.
10.
Refer to Figure 10 and loop the tubing back on itself as shown. Attach the washer tube clip to the bulkhead "T" stud so that the tube is pointing to
the side of the vehicle.
11.
Connect the remaining end of the tube to the hood-anchored 90-degree connector.
WARNING:
Spilled fluids can be a hazard. Ensure that any fluids spilled during repairs in the under-hood area are cleaned up.
12.
Ensure all connections are secure, that there are no kinks in the tube and that the washer system operates without fluid leaks.
