Throttle Body Heater Gasket Replacement

AFFECTED VEHICLE RANGE:

RANGE ROVER (LP)

XA400939 to XA418689 Bosch EMS equipped

SITUATION:

DURABILITY IMPROVEMENTS TO THROTTLE BODY HEATER GASKET

Land Rover has determined that a gasket component used in the manufacture of Bosch engine management equipped Range Rover vehicles in a specific
VIN range could fail in service. The resulting loss of fluid represents a risk of fire under certain extreme circumstances. Improvements made in current
production will be installed on recalled vehicles that have not been previously upgraded to the current standard.

RESOLUTION:

REPLACE GASKET WITH NEW SPECIFICATION GASKET

Under this Recall action the new-specification throttle body heater gasket will be installed to remove the potential for an under-hood fluid leak and to
improve the reliability and safety of the affected vehicles.

PARTS INFORMATION:

NOTE:

Early specification spare parts held in retailer inventory may be returned using the PAF claim process. Use reason code OH and reference this TIB
on the claim.
