Refer to Figure 3 and Figure 4. Cut the breather pipe at a 45-degree angle as shown.

Slit the top side of the pipe back about 15 to 20 mm (5/8 to 3/4 inch) as illustrated in Figures 3 and 4.

CAUTION:

Location of the breather pipe into the securing clips is vital to ensure correct retention of the pipe. The proper location of the breather pipe
opening must be maintained during vehicle operation by securely anchoring the pipe in both clips.

CAUTION:

On both installations it is important that the end of the breather tube have 25 mm (1 inch) clearance from the electrical harness to ensure that
there is no harness damage or any potential for contact with the breather tube.
