2. Remove rear extension housing oil seal from gearbox.

Refit 
3. Clean oil seal recess in gearbox and running surface on input shaft.
4. Lubricate oil seal running surface with transmission fluid.
5. Using LRT-44-001 fit oil seal to extension housing.
6. Fit transfer gearbox. 

Gasket- Rear Extension Housing

Remove 

1. Remove transfer gearbox.

2. Remove 9 bolts securing rear extension housing to gearbox case and remove housing.
3. Remove and discard gasket.

Refit 

4. Clean rear extension and mating face, dowel and dowel holes.
5. Fit new gasket to gearbox case.
6. Fit rear extension housing and tighten bolts to 23 Nm (16 ft. lbs.). 
7. Fit transfer gearbox.
