Shift Interlock: Description and Operation

IGNITION AND SHIFT INTERLOCK

Circuit Operation

Selector Interlock

The Gear Selector Lever may only be moved out of the Park position when the ignition is on and the brake pedal is depressed. The Shift Lock Solenoid
shall be energised continuously whilst the Ignition is on and the Gear Selector Lever is in a position other than Park or Neutral.

Ignition Key Interlock

The Ignition Key Lock Solenoid shall at all times prevent removal of the Key from the Ignition Switch unless the Gear Selector Lever is in the Park
position.
