Land Rover is introducing replacement bulbs for the HVAC control panel LCD illumination to allow service of this item without the need to replace the
control unit.

ACTION REQUIRED

When LCD illumination has failed, replace the bulb with the specified part.

Replacement Bulb (Green Base, 12V, 2 Watt)

PROCEDURE

Procedure

1.

Remove the HVAC control unit as outlined in the Workshop Manual, Section 82.

2.

Remove the bulb which lights the LCD (Green base, 12V, 2 Watt) and inspect for bulb failure (Illustration).

3.

If a failed or faulty bulb is found, replace the bulb.

NOTE:

Never replace other HVAC control unit illumination bulbs (12V, 1.2 Watt black-base) with a higher wattage bulb.
