Snap Throttle Test

Normal warranty policy and procedures apply

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1.

Hook up TestBook and follow instructions.

2.

Complete DTCR recording all freeze-frame data.

3.

Monitor HO2S voltages and heater voltages. If any are out of specification, repair and retest.

4.

Perform the oxygen sensor snap throttle test as outlined in TIB 17/01/96.

5.

If the snap throttle test shows the sensor transition time, both rich to lean and lean to rich, to be good, DO NOT REPLACE THE SENSOR; look at
the service history for other instances of this DTCR.

6.

FAX DTCR to GEMS Helpline to get authorization to replace PROM set.

7.

Reset engine adaptation and IACV to 20-25 steps.
