SUBJECT:
PRIDE - Static Sensitive Remote Handset Replacement
MODEL:
Range Rover 4.0/4.6
AFFECTED VEHICLES:
LP
SA302295 - TA345488
DETAIL
Remote handsets may be subject to static electricity activation. A static discharge may transmit an unwanted unlock signal. This will unlock the vehicle if
it is within range. There is a new remote handset currently in
production that will correct the static discharge problem. If a customer complains of this problem, a replacement should be obtained.
All four of the current part numbers (ALR5048, ALR5009, STC2906 and STC2907) will be replaced with one part number, STC3637. One STC3637
must be ordered for each remote handset to be replaced. Indicate on the order form which remote (i.e. 1, 2, 3 or 4) will be replaced. The replacement will
then be programmed to the appropriate identification number and shipped to the dealer.
The diagnostic steps and repair procedures detailed in this bulletin were developed as an element of the Land Rover Way Operation PRIDE. This TIB
provides a library location for PRIDE information within the Land Rover North America technical literature system.
ACTION REQUIRED
Upon customer complaint for the symptoms outlined, obtain the required number of replacement handsets.
