DETAIL
Refer to TIB 47/01/97/US, Driveline Vibration Diagnosis and Remedy, for vibration troubleshooting methodology to be used for Range Rover. An
updated version of the TIB is to be issued which will include Range Rover.
A specific drivetrain vibration noticeable at 113-129 kph (7O-80 mph) has been identified on Range Rover. Investigation has determined that a specific
dimension on some transmission brake drums may not be within specification and can result in imprecise location of the rear drive shaft with consequent
drive shaft vibration. The procedure below has been developed to identify parts which may be out of specification and should be used on customer
complaint of driveline vibration. The procedure is to be used in conjunction with the vibration diagnostic procedure described in TIB 47/01/97/US.
The diagnostic steps and repair procedures detailed on the following pages were developed as an element of the Land Rover Way OPERATION PRIDE.
This TIB provides a library location for PRIDE information within the Land Rover North America technical literature system.
