A number of reports have been received which have identified an oil leak from the front of the V8 engine
When these oil cooler pipe connectors are overtightened the boss on the front cover can crack internally, resulting in a leak path along the threads.
ACTION REQUIRED
For information only. When replacing or disconnecting oil cooler pipes while undertaking an associated repair, ensure they are tightened to 14-15 lb ft
(18-20 Nm). DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.

PROCEDURE
When tightening oil cooler pipes in the front cover tighten to 14-15 lb ft (18-20 Nm). Do not over tighten.
If a leak cannot be rectified by correctly torquing the pipe connectors, remove the pipe connection(s) to the front cover. Clean, refit, and retorque and
check for leaks. If a leak is evident it may be necessary to replace the front cover.
